There are several ways members of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Realtors may present an IDX search within their website. The simplest and quickest method is to use one of the no cost frameable IDX solutions.

  •  One solution is within Matrix. You can create and customize a Matrix Agent Web Page, which will provide your customers with the ability to search for listings. Within Matrix, go to “My Matrix” and then “My Information”. Review and customize the information within each of the tabs and then “Enable Agent Web Page” on the “Agent Webpage” tab.
  • Matrix also provides frameable IDX links. Within Matrix, open the “My Matrix” menu, click on “Settings”, and then “IDX Configuration”. Multiple links can be created, each with different options.
  • Technical support for Matrix is provided by AnswerLink, 888-825-5472. They are available from 8:30 AM – 8:30 PM, Monday thru Friday and 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM, Saturday and Sunday.

A multi-language solution is available from Immobel, which can be setup by going to http://www.ragfl.immobel.com/personal/setup/login.jsp and login using your MLS credentials. Immobel support is available at 800-432-9467.

Yet, another method is provided by Florida REALTORS. The frameable links may be obtained by logging into their website, http://www.floridarealtors.org, and then clicking on the “My Membership” link at the top of the page. Once at the Personal Profile page, there is a link for IDX on the side menu. Clicking on that will present several links. One is for property searches, and the other to present your own listings. Assistance with these links is provided by the Florida REALTORS tech hotline, 407-587-1450.

In order to have more flexibility in how the data is displayed, that data would have to be downloaded via RETS (Real Estate Transaction Standard) for IDX purposes. This can be done by an Authorized Vendor. A list of Authorized Vendors is available at http://www.r-world.com/documents/mls-center/idx/Authorized-IDX-Vendors.pdf .

  • The fees & services provided vary. Therefore, each vendor’s offerings would need to be reviewed in order to determine which is the best value. An IDX Agreement needs to be completed by the Broker, Associate, and the Authorized Vendor. A copy of the agreement is available at http://www.r-world.com/idx.php .

The data may also be downloaded directly via RETS. This method does require experience in web & database development, familiarity with the MLS, as well as the MLS Rules, IDX Rules, and Florida state law. More information on RETS, including developer resources, are available at http://www.reso.org/ . There is a free RETS client available at http://www.retsconnector.com. In order to obtain RETS access to the on-market MLS data (Active & Backup status), members of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Realtors are required to pay a $150 setup fee, and a $300 annual access fee.

Although the MLS Content provided within these services do not contain all the Broward County MLS data, GFLR is proud to offer the majority of Broward County MLS data.

If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact the Association at 954-563-7261 and ask for the MLS Department.
